The Altiplano and its wide-open spaces are the perfect location for self-sustained 4WD expeditions.  The following are what we consider the best itineraries.  If some of them go beyond the Bolivian borders, it is because the Altiplano doesn’t follow administrative limits: It is a geographical area bordered by two mountain ranges of which the widest area of which is located in the Bolivian territory.
