At 7 a.m. we start our journey towards the heart of Madidi National Park, renown as the world’s most biodiverse park, on a canoe with an outboard motor. Here, we will find a diversity of ecosystems: Andean, sub-Andean, tropical forest, pampas, etc.
After a 4 to 5-hour cruise up the river Tuichi we arrive at the Chalalan eco-lodge.
In the afternoon, after a brief presentation of the project by members of the indigenous community of San José de Uchupiamonas, we walk around the neighboring lagoons on the Chichilo and Mirador paths.
Later on we take a night walk to observe nocturnal habits of the local fauna.
Cold lunch. All included. Night at the lodge. |
