ECOLODGE CHALALAN
At the heart of the Amazon Rainforest –Madidi park

Discovery 4/6 days from April to November Private Spanish or English speaking guide

Along the way…

Chalalan is an ecologic resort developed deep in the primary Amazonian forest on the shore of a lake. Located in the heart of Madidi National Park, it is accessible only by pirogues by following Río Tuichi up river, traversing the park in its entirety.
The warm welcome of the local Uchupiamonas inhabitants and the excellent quality of the lodges in which you will stay will allow you to discover this natural gem under the best conditions.

The Chalalan project was financed by an NGO, Conservation International. Today, this successful project is entirely managed by the San Jose de Uchupiamonas community. The profits are directed towards the conservation of an Ecosystem desired by the multi-nationals exploiting precious wood, while promoting the Uchupiamonas traditional culture. This is the best example of alternative and ecological development, in collaboration with the local populations..
