TERRA AMAZONIA
Noel Kempff Park and Pantanal
Discovery 14 days From March to November Private Spanish or English speaking guide

Along the way...

The Amazon Basin, and all it includes, covers two thirds of Bolivia’s territory. Little known, this immense region is nonetheless home of the most incredible natural phenomena known by men. True “green” pulmonary system of the planet, the Amazon is home to an astonishing number of animal and vegetal species. Here, Mother Nature shows itself in all its exuberance, for the great pleasure of the wild nature lovers. So that we can fully enjoy this expedition, a certified nature biologist and ornithologist guide travels with us. He shares with us his passion for the different ecosystems covering the areas visited. From Santa Cruz, a small plane takes us first to the very remote park of Noël Kempff, the only park in Bolivia to be registered as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Its isolation has allowed its perfect preservation. On board a 4WD vehicle, we cross the valleys of Chiquitanía, an area famous for its stunning Jesuit Missions. Finally, we travel to the extreme East of the country, frontier with Brazil, to explore the Pantanal region. What could be more extraordinary than cruising the Paraguay River and its marshes, surrounded by thousands of animals!?

We hike through meseta, thus, discovering its particular ecosystems. We have lunch under the shade of giant ferns and palm trees and then descend to Lajas Fall, where we eat dinner.
