Multicolored mountains, the silhouette of cacti, like so many sentinels guarding the entry of canyons with tortured forms, the peasants joining their home at the slow pace of their horses ... the "Terres Rouges" of Tupiza look like a huge western scenery.
We invite you to discover the many geological curiosities of the region of the most beautiful and the most original ways, on foot, horseback, mountain bike, or ... all three at once!

DAY
1

Tupiza

We will ride our horses to the Quebrada de Palmira in the South. Leaving the "Puerta del Diablo" on the left we will arrive to the Quebrada Seca where the multicolored rock walls look like a mineral rainbow. We will continue in the canyon until Torojoy, and start galloping on the shores of Rio San Juan de Oro to the "Torre", a 50 m high monolith.
We will then return to Tupiza by the Entre Rios where the Tupiza and San Juan de Oro rivers join, then by the fantastic Angosto site.
(approximately 6 hours horse riding).
Cold lunch included. Dinner not included.

2

Tupiza

9:00 am departure from the hotel direction a fantastic red, deep and narrow canyon where a small river lows during the rainy season. On menu today: rock formations, canyons and other geological curiosities from the West part of Tupiza: Puerta del Diablo, valle de los Machos (rock formations), el cañón del Inca.

Then you take the horses for a 3 hour ride through the Quebrada Seca and the Duende Canyon.
At the exit of the canyon , we discover a beautiful valley of giant cactus where you can still find historic ruins of old houses occupied by the old Chichas of the pre-Inca indigenous culture. Back to Tupiza in the afternoon .

3

Tupiza

One of the easiest and shortest walks - 4 hours, 9 km round trip, 200m drop.

9:00 am departure from the hotel direction a fantastic red, deep and narrow canyon where a small river lows during the rainy season. On menu today: rock formations, canyons and other geological curiosities from the West part of Tupiza: Puerta del Diablo, valle de los Machos (rock formations), el cañón del Inca, la quebrada Seca, Cañón del Duende.
